My Thoughts and Yours...

I write about things I notice around me on my not so talkative days. If any of you out there are interested, please read and respond!

Ticked off!

I know and e-mail quite a few people..but I've realized or well come across a pet peeve of mine too many times. I've literally decided that to not get so annoyed by this pet peeve..I am going to take extreme measures.

It deals with people who e-mail. It deals with people who e-mail when they need "support"..but yet when you want to talk to them or you want support, they are no where to be found! I mean you can write pages and pages of stuff..and this person will have NOT a word to say to you for months..but when they need the support, because they are feeling down..you'll get pages and pages from them...odd I know.

I find it best to not write such "users (a.k.a. people users)", but people keep talking me out of it. And I've fallen too many times to being talked out of it, and writing back. But then I realize...why write back, when this person could care less of what you want to say...because all this person cares about is that you hear what they say?? Communication works two ways..not one...and at the moment I see one...I've tried TWO...some selfish people donno how to make it work..so my answer to all of this...I'm going to listen to myself this time..and NO one else....I QUIT!

Guess that means...someone just lost a good friend...if not more....

People who like to hear themselves??

I won't name a person at all...but I have a friend who totally likes to hear herself! Sometimes I wonder why she calls me..when she knows what she wants, so why ask for my advice? And then...when I say anything other than what is the topic of the conversation, you get the "nod" from her..and then she's back at it...at her old subject again.

I wonder if that's a friend...most likely NOT. Uggh.....she's a user

First few days...

So I have my orientation this week..and next week. There are a few people amongst the newcomers which annoy me! Specifically two of them who act like know it alls. Icck icck icck. I cannot stand it when they sit there just talking back and forth and saying that they know ALL..hello if you know ALL, please don't come to this doctoral program expecting to learn!

Today we had to listen to professors give presentations on their research...gosh listening to the presentations makes you feel soo unintelligent and stupid. It literally stresses me out! I sat there thinking, I should go review things because I do not know this!!!! ooops. uggh...hard hard stuff..

Why must people wait till the last minute??!!??

I've found that most people in this world will wait till the last minute to do something. Whether it be from getting an assignment done to mailing something out, it is always done a few hours or the night before. Even when it comes to driving, people will change lanes a few seconds before the exit for some road comes! I was driving a lot these past few days, and while I was in a lane well in advance to a selected designation..most people only switched lanes at the last minute before the exit wavered off! I guess I can't completely conclude that people on the road are changing lanes at the last minute because at times it is hard to merge in sometimes...due to traffic congestion, and idiotic drivers..

Oh I'm blabbing..I'll stop.

Another Reality Show I might just like....hmmm..

I dont' watch much t.v...and when I do, it's usually reality shows or something. But lately I've been free from school and have had the chance to watch a lot of t.v. I'm stuck on watching 20/20, Dateline, etc...but those shows I've always watched before in the past too. And I never have ever forgotten to watch the show survivor. But now..I've found that the show "Extreme Makeovers: Home edition" is awesome! But what I really am starting to like is the show "Amish in the City"...it might just be the next show I get glued to! Ohh..how great.

Other shows I have always enjoyed in the past have been the show "This old House" on PBS..I love watching people make things, and learning how to make things. Bob Villa (is that him) does a good job of showing how to do things on that show...

Ohh..I wonder that when I'm off to graduate school...will I have the luxury of time to watch such shows. I suppose so..or maybe I"ll make time..
